Content Marketing

Content Marketing

Content marketing and SEO really should go hand-in-hand. There’s a couple reasons for this. For one, any new piece of content added to your site should be optimized for search. This means it should be easy to read, load quickly, and tell a consistent story as the rest of your site, for starters. Also, the more high-quality content you add to your site, the more favorably your site will be looked upon for staying up-to-date and focusing on delivering valuable content to your audience.

What Is Content Marketing?

Traditionally, when we think of content marketing, it’s the blog that comes to mind. However, as our audiences grow less patient as of late, we’ve seen a surge in content driven by visuals come to the forefront. This includes infographics, video, slideshows, white papers, and webinars.

The Benefits of Content Marketing

Content marketing plays an incredibly important role for your brand, in part because of how useful it is across a variety of channels.
As you add more content to your blog, you’re also working on building a sort of knowledgebase for your audience which, doubly, demonstrates your expertise.

New content can be shared across a variety of platforms to reach newer audiences: your website, social media, email, and content-specific sites (e.g. YouTube, SlideShare, etc.).

So long as content is evergreen (meaning the topic won’t go stale), it can continue to be shared in perpetuity.

Content can also be repurposed to save you time and energy in constantly creating something new. Blog posts can be converted into infographics. An idea touched upon in a video can be expanded into an infographic. And so on.
